Accuracy after publication
Corrections and updates
We assess specific, evidenced concerns about published text, captions, credits, dates, identities, and image context.
01
What to include
A useful request identifies the public URL, the exact material at issue, and reliable supporting evidence.
- The story or gallery URL.
- The disputed sentence, caption, credit, date, or identification.
- A concise explanation and primary-source evidence where available.
02
How we assess requests
Editors review the published record, source material, and rights metadata. Requests involving legal or sensitive-content concerns are escalated for senior review.
A verified public corrections mailbox is not yet available; its details will be added to the Contact page before production launch.
03
Corrections record
Material changes should be made transparently and proportionately. The final wording and retention policy for correction notices requires editorial and legal approval before launch.
