Halle Berry was photographed with her personal trainer in Hollywood on 2 September 2002. The archive images show her running in a white top, blue tracksuit trousers, a grey baseball cap and blue trainers, carrying a bottle of water. The outing ended with a parking ticket.
The sighting came after Berry won Best Actress at the 74th Academy Awards for her performance in Monster's Ball. She became the first Black woman to win the category. At the time, Die Another Day was moving towards its November release, with Berry playing Jinx opposite Pierce Brosnan.
Berry had sustained an eye injury during production when debris from a smoke grenade lodged in her eye and was removed in a 30-minute procedure. Die Another Day opened internationally on 20 November 2002 and in the United States two days later.
