On 9 May 2023, Reese Witherspoon was seen in Hollywood after dropping her daughter off at day care, going on to shop at The Gap and the Disney Store. She wore a yellow top with blue bottoms and an LA baseball cap, pictured full length as she moved between the two stores.
The outing followed her appearance on 13 April 2023 at the Bruin Regency Theatre in Westwood, California, for the premiere of Apple TV+ series "The Last Thing He Told Me." It was her first public Hollywood outing since she had announced her split from her second husband, Jim Toth.
At that premiere, Witherspoon was joined by castmate Jennifer Garner, who was also producing the series alongside her.
In May 2023, Witherspoon selected "Did You Hear About Kitty Karr?" by Crystal Smith Paul as that month's pick for her book club.
